Only 1 Shot: Aligning the Inner Soul with Action

To Live as Soul Would Live – This is the Goal!

Sadly, few people operate this way. That is, few people reflect authentic being; who they really are and were meant to be on the surface of life. Reflecting instead, imposter self; imposter living. If this describes your life experience, this book is for you. This book will help you go back to the start, to determine who you are and were meant to be before living changed you. Our approach: to find soul, bring it forward, into the present, onto the surface of life for self to live as soul would live. We do this as by liberating soul, you liberate self to fly to new destinations; to live again; to love life again; to see the colors of the world again. In short, to experience life as you always imagined it could be; long ago dreamed.

It is a fact! You will pass this earth but once. As such, you have Only 1 Shot to seize opportunity (the life experience) and meet imperative (live passionately). You have Only 1 Shot to maximize the personal, professional, and financial potential that life offers. You have Only 1 Shot to live happily, fragrantly, and free. The essence of Only 1 Shot is to develop a personal strategy, increase personal alignment, and maximize the life experience. It is about establishing a mission, vision for self and then pursuing mission, vision resolutely till both achieved. Lastly, it is about seeing, willing, thinking, acting, and feeling in remarkably new ways that reflect the emerging you; the authentic you; almighty soul.

Introduction

“We do not ask for life, but having arrived, our innate desire is to live while alive”
- Randall Scott Rogers

The year is 1990. I am a recent college graduate but already into my second career, selling insurance. I am sitting in my local library, depressed, confused, feeling anything but ‘alive’. I am depressed, confused over the direction of my life, of what I should do, how to operate on the surface of life. I sit, with self-help book in hand. I turn the pages; some words resonate, most do not. I leave the library hours later still depressed, still confused, still wondering what to do with my life. The years roll by; now it is August, 2005. I am driving to work, different career, same condition. Then, out of nowhere, I am struck with almighty wisdom; of what to finally do with my life. Fifteen years have passed, but I do not dwell on such fact, as wisdom-awareness now consumes me. I see clearly my intended purpose on earth. I see clearly who to be and how to operate on the surface of life. I am giddy with excitement, inspiration, and hope. What you hold in your hands is the result of that flash of genius I had years ago.

Chapter 1

“All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them”
- Galileo

A profound sadness exists today; it lies deep, below the surface of things, within our planetary heart. “What kind of sadness?” you ask. It is the kind that comes when a species has lost its way; forgotten how to operate, what to stand for, on the surface of life. This is the state of the human species. We have lost our way, forgotten how to operate, what to stand for on the surface of life, and we are suffering. The standard life design has failed us, or, more precisely, mankind has failed us. Mankind has broken the covenant; all that is sacred. No longer is it a priority that all are healthy, all are fed, and all are free. No longer is it a priority that all are loved, all are educated, and all prosper. Instead, we live in a world of haves and have not’s, a world more interested in attending to economic goals, advancing the economic story, than attending to humanitarian goals, advancing the human story. This is tragic, if not reckless. No longer is humanity a model of that which inspires, but that which debilitates. We have indeed lost our way, and we are suffering. In this first chapter, we ask, “Where is the world?” as this will provide context to, help resolve, a more personal, more private inquiry: “Where are you?”

Reviews

“This is an amazing book, loaded with powerful insights and ideas to make you happier and more successful in every area of your life”
Brian Tracy, author – “Maximum Achievement”

“This book gives you another shot at authentic fulfillment. It is a brilliant journey that peels away our skin-deep, disposable surface to reveal the essence of a soul-deep, vibrant core. Wonderful life strategies!”
Denis Waitley, author – “Seeds of Greatness”

“This book is exceptional and filled with challenges that can change your life.”
Linda Leon, Radio Host – Book That Author

“As the reader commits to this journey and actually starts reading this ‘spiritually centered’ tome, the message is clear. Rogers presents situations and ideas and backs them up with graphs and illustrations about how we function in our present state of ‘just getting along’. He slowly opens doors and windows and requires significant work on the part of the soul searcher to struggle with casting off the detritus in which we have clothed ourselves until we discover soul and then shows us how to bring it forward.

Don’t be put off by the size of the book: that is evidence of wanting a quick fix like the other self-help books often offer. There is work ahead if you open this volume, but you will rarely find a more learned, centered coach than Randall Scott Rogers.”
Grady Harp, Top 10 Reviewer – Amazon.com

“5.0 out of 5 stars – An excellent motivational read packed cover to cover with wit and wisdom.”

“You don’t have a do-over. ‘Only 1 Shot: Aligning the Inner Soul with Action’ is an excellent inspirational read from Randall Scott Rogers as he urges people to take control of their life by listening to their souls and following its own urges and goals. With advice on developing a strategy of life, remembering to have fun and enjoy it, and do much more than that with the short time that you have ‘Only 1 Shot’ is an excellent motivational read packed cover to cover with wit and wisdom.”
